Author Readings
The Munich Readery gladly hosts commercially published authors for Saturday evening readings or Sunday writing workshops.
Most of our readings take place Saturdays from 19:00 to 20:00. Most of our writing workshops take place Sunday mornings or Sunday afternoons. We rarely make exceptions to this.
As a secondhand bookshop, we don’t order books for readings, ever. We rely on our authors to provide copies of their books and to set the prices as they wish. We take 20% of book sales. Authors must take back any books not sold the evening of a reading.
We advertise author readings and workshops through our Facebook page, our own website, Instagram, and our email mailing list of around 1600 members. We expect authors to use their own networks and social media contacts to promote their events as well.
We also occasionally host self-published writers under the terms/conditions listed above.
