Interested in painting, drawing, learning a musical instrument, singing, dancing, acting, composing poems, writing a novel or a memoir, or simply living a more creative life?
This workshop is for you!

Humans are naturally creative. As children, we joyfully danced and sang and made music and drew and painted without worrying about how we sounded or looked or what anybody else thought. Playing, having fun, and being creative were all the same thing when we were small.

And then . . . something happened. Someone criticized what we made or did, judged it, or put our creations in competition with someone else’s. Or well-meaning grown-ups guided us away from creativity and the arts and towards more “practical” pursuits. We stopped making and doing the kinds of things we enjoyed when we were little. Some of us kept trying and wanting to be creative, but an inner critic shouted down our attempts.

The good news? Creativity is the birthright of all humans, and we can reclaim it at any time. We don’t have to stay blocked.

This workshop provides a safe, welcoming place to:

* remember the ways you were creative as a child
* explore (with no blame or self-reproach) when and why you gave up on being creative
* try out some fun ways to get back in touch with your creativity
* learn playful and effective methods of standing up to your “inner critic”
* set realistic goals to pursue art forms/ways to be creative that appeal to you, whether this means returning to art that you used to do, or trying something new.
